The story takes place in modern-day Moscow. Sofia (Katerina Shpitsa), after her divorce, ironically categorizes men and doesn't expect miracles from dating. Max (Vladimir Baigildin) is a bachelor and womanizer who has devised his own «categorization system» for women. His friend Artem (Alexander Zlatopolsky) is a shy romantic, to whom Max tries to explain the «rules of the game.» But it is Artem's meeting with Alisa (Anfisa Chekhova) that sets off a chain of events in which schemes crumble and feelings prevail. Vika (Irina Pegova), a friend who knows how to both support and add fuel to the fire, is always by their side. Her frankness and unexpected remarks become part of a larger conversation about love and stereotypes.
The film explores the nature of modern relationships: in an era of labels and quick judgments, the characters learn to see the real people behind the masks and open up to love.
